*oops* I went to TSC!!!...Anyone wanna help me guess breeds???

The last picture has to be a polish, I love the cap on their heads. Lucky you. All the babies are darling. Did you leave any for the next shopper? I wish we had a Tsc out here. The feed store seems to have all the rejects and clearance or returned stuff - no joke. Everything is supposed to be pullets too and then they start crowing later.

#3 does look like my mille fleur when he was a baby. I would love to go to my tsc and get some porcelain d'uccles

What hatchery do the chicks come from?

ChickenMama, your little EE baby is too cute!!!

I think you're right though - mine are a little more red on the top. They also have really defined chipmunk stripes.

You're right, chickenlittle, they do have feathered legs! They are really fluffy too...there were lots of chipmunks in the bin, so I picked out the 2 fluffiest

I didn't think of a mille fleur d'uccle, but I just googled it and I think you're right! That's exciting - those are really wild looking!!

Drumstick diva, I think that one is a Polish too. I'm so excited you all agree, because I was hoping it was a Polish when I grabbed it!

I left plenty for the next shopper

Since I just got an order from Cackle last week, I wasn't really in *need* of any chicks...so I just got the minimum of 6 from TSC. I just love to torture myself

We just found our TSC a couple of months ago...it didn't occur to us to go on their website and search until then

If you don't mind a wait, I would recommend making an order on Cackle! I had a great experience with them (admittedly, it was my first and so-far only experience ordering from a hatchery), but their shipping (and other) costs are really competitive, and I didn't have a single DOA!

Diamante, I don't know what hatcheries TSC orders from, but maybe someone else does.

I think we have a few TSC employees on here somewhere. I hope my #4 is a porcelain d'uccle!!

Does anyone know what a porcelain x mille fleur looks like??

I had to go to TSC yesterday and of course I had to stand there and drool over the bantam bin. Wanted some SO BAD, but with a baby due in 4 weeks, no way.

Anyway, they had several little yellow top hat ones that I thought were probably polish. They had the little chipmunk ones and the little grayish feather footed ones like you got. They also had some adorable tiny black ones. They had the bantam bin marked "assorted reds" and the red sex link bin (which had males and females) marked "assorted pullets".

At least they had the duck and the Cornish Rock bins marked correctly.
