I'm posting this out of guilt really and need to tell someone...i've just ordered an egg incubator. I got my big girls in April and I love um. I got them when they were about 5 wks old. Ive always wanted babies but my partner is against it (baby chicks, not humans). Just to experience them hatching and growing. So after a few too many drinks i've ordered a small incubator (holds 7 eggs). It would be easier than doiing it the natural way as we've no cocks and i would be able to roughly monitor how many eggs to hatch. Anyway it's out, my guilty secret. Think I'll break the news tomorrow. I don't spend a lot on myself so i guess it's ok and it was only £18 (roughly $23)..,what do you folks think?

I think it's fabulous! Hatching eggs is fun--and pretty addictive. But, I hate to break it to you, you do need a cock to fertilize your hatching eggs, unless you're planning on getting fertile eggs from someone else. What kind of 'bator did you get?
