Going off the pics that have been posted, I'd guess that Group 1 are your welsummers.

If you go on the Breed thread, they talk about the chick markings. One of the two has a very defined "V" on the forehead. Sorry I can't remember which...I was closely looking @ both.

I just want to say thank you! for this thread because I have the exact same problem! I only have one of each, so you would think it would be relatively simple, but everytime I think I have it figured out, I get all confused again. Mine are only three days old, so I think I just need to wait a few more days to see more wing feathers. Good luck with yours!

I got it!!!!!!!!!!! Ok so I tried to look at everything that you guys pointed out about your Welsummers and SS. I grabbed the two little girls that I thought were the welsummers and inspected them very thoroughly. I looked at how they were feathering and what colors were coming in. Then I got one that I thought was a SS. It had a white tip on the left wing... interesting. So I grab another one. White on the wing... then the next... more white

Yessss! I think I finally have it. Well it gets to the last chick and boom! no white! So now I have 4 alike and three alike.

What now!?!? So I look VERY closely at the three without white. I know that I have 5 SS and 2 welsummers so which one doesn't belong... Well the SS chest is more white with some little yellow shading and the wellies have a more creamy looking chest

I GOT IT!!!!! So thanks to everybody that helped me figure it out. I had to just inspect every one of the little guys and play a game of which one of these is not like the other! Thanks
