oops no tail- for now only??

One of my Marans had some sticky poop problems for a time when a chick so I had to soak the bottom with a wash cloth and worked the poop off. I did so a little too quickly and took her tail feathers off evidently. She's 2 months old and looks like a rumpless bird. Will her tail feathers ever grow back? Not until she molts? Not ever? She carries herself well for not having a tail. LOL. Keystonepaul

I have a chicken who was born with no tail! I got them from a friend of mine and this dear hen has no tail. If the tail came off as a result of washing or being pulled out, I don't see why it wouldn't grow back when it molts.

Also, I had a hen who was almost bald, tail included from where our guineas had pulled out her feathers while she was broody and all her feathers grew back within 2 months!
