yep , it's a brinsea .. i've using it as it comes from the factory for lockdown w/ the hum pump... 99.6 degrees and 65% hum before they pip, bumping it to 75% after they pip (for the most part) .. i've got two that i replaced the fan with a comp fan (runs faster) and no hum pump.. water wells filled .. this combo seems to be working well in getting VERY high % hatches with both peas and silkies ... was a fluke -- i had to replace one fan, noticed the difference

one of the has pipped -- not sure on the other yet

for lucky number 7.

How are all the others doing, sure would like to see some updated pictures of them.

Just wondering what kind of birds were there Parents?
peafowl ..............

........ NO definites, but the boys were most likely a white (possibly spaulding) and a blue/ either pied or white (both boys now reside with SPM) ... the girls are an ibbs hen, and 2 blue looking hens, one may be bronze --- i hatched a baby hen in summer of 2011 that was distinctively deifferent from the others for the first 6 months (and the egg was labelled as bronze), but for the life of me now, i can't tell her apart fromther hens :badjohn: ... about a 1/3 -1/2 of the chicks have a darker back than the others --iow, for now they're ib's subject to change or whites ....

... out of 7 eggs, had 3 hatch yesterday, and one a couple of hours ago ... 2 are definitely dead as is most likely the last ...did someone say pics????
big_smile.png
..took these a little while ago... cleaning happens tomorrow or saturday... had to focus on containing my little monsters....

while snipping inside, trying not to do more damage to the carpet than they have....

yesterday's babies seem to be fine...

and the big guy's are now imprisoned
sad.png
.... although it was kinda funny --- they were all flocking to the smaller box with the younger peas and silkies
hu.gif
... today got outta hand (moreso than usual) ..NObody was in the bigger box .... 19 chicks between the 2 boxes (and 7 more in the adjacent room) and after putting them where i thought they belonged, i came up 1 pea short
ep.gif
...found him/her
roll.png
---hence the need for containment

I use the same method to water the chicks that my free range hens hatch, so they don't have to go out to the ponds to drink, pretty cool idea, brilliant minds think alike
