Opal legbar chicks , boys or girls ?

I’ve got 4 opal legbar chicks , 2 pictures of each chick . I know they are autosexing but I’m finding it difficult to tell the difference between them .

Were they sold to you as girls? I don't have any experience with them personally. I did find a pdf and a post that discusses them. You might even give a try posting directly into that thread and see what they think. Here's the picture of the chicks from the PDF but I don't see the bright white head spot on yours, but I don't really see a distinct eye-liner or chipmunk pattern on any of them either to say with confidence either way. If they were sold to you as girls, not having a defined head spot would be a good sign.

I hatched them a few days ago, but you’re right none have a head spot but they also have no distinct chipmunk stripes .

These guys are super difficult to tell so I’m guessing. I would wonder if 1/4 are cockerels and 2/3 pullets? Keep us updated!

One , two and three were hens and four was a cockerel! Unfortunately lost all in a fox attack but I’ll definitely be getting more , gorgeous birds , very sweet.
