Wet and cold here this morning but it's supposed to clear up later this afternoon. I got the garden rototilled on Sunday and the chickens only have one more week to enjoy it. I intend to plant everything that starts from seed and wait another week before getting tomato and pepper plants. Even with this late May planting I still have to be concerned about frost.
I think tomorrow I will put another 3 dozen eggs in the incubator so that I will have two day old chicks to take to our Chickenstock next month. I wasn't very happy with this last hatch. Less than 50% hatched but in all fairness many of the eggs were close to three weeks old at set. They are still in the hatcher, it's day 22, but I don't think anymore are going to hatch. After I get home this afternoon I'll take them out, check the dates on the eggs, and open them to see what happened.
