Opa's place -Where an old rooster visits with friends

Silly weather can't decide what it wants to do. Rained hard enough to strangle a frog this morning and then misted off and on for most of the day. Finally a hour ago the sun comes out. Then a few minutes ago the sky got dark again so I thought I better gather eggs before the rain hits again. Picked up the eggs and stepped out of the coop just as the sky opened up again. Now the sun is back out all bright and shining but it's still raining quite hard.

Evening all! We have that kind of weather where you know something is going to happen within a day or so-hot, humid and a strong wind. Yuck!

My own little chickie is 4 wks old now. Anyone fancy taking a guess as to gender? (It has a pea comb if that helps)

Thistle after studing the pictures I don't see anything to indicate it carries the Ranchie gene. Looks like it is going to be a very pretty hen.

Highlander, I am guessing a girl, but I don't know anything about sexing baby chicks, so it is just a guess.

My first broody hen hatch, in 18 years of being a chicken tender. Not sure if any more hatched overnight, Goldie is back to being the golden blob over everything.
