Sprite, you have misread what I have written. I wasn't calling the Thistle old, I was merely informing her, for future reference, what she might expect.
Also, I'm not calling anyone old. I will leave that for each of you to determine on your own. One good indicator is if your sock appear to be wrinkled and you are wearing any.
Wow, it's almost a heat wave. 32 by 10am. After tonight the forecast doesn't have a single night with the temperatures below freezing for the next week. Maybe I'll soon be able to start putting all the birds in their summer quarters.
I want to hatch out a few welsummers and some more bantams. Joe and Scott love the pickled eggs that David makes and he prefers to use bantam eggs. They absorb the pickling solution quicker plus the size is ideal for a one bite snack. Since the output from six hens isn't adequate to the need it looks like I'd better increase the size of the bantam flock.

Opa, Could you please post the pickling recipe that David uses? I have a friend getting some bantams and she made a comment on the smaller eggs. I would like to pass on a good recipe to her.
Are you sure your flock isn't "adequate" and you're just looking for an excuse to increase it's size?
