Opa's place -Where an old rooster visits with friends

All I know is that I don't know what the heck I'm going to do with all of them. Hubby's office staff can only buy so many. I got 14 yesterday, and 13 the day before. I guess I'll need to put a 'fresh farm eggs for sale' sign up in my yard soon.

Morning everyone.
Oh gee, HarlansHollow-more snow for you? I guess spring doesn't spring for you very early there.
Opa I hope you, Granny and the YakLady have a wonderful visit today. I'll be sending the emu eggs your way today.
I was out in the coop/run last night at 11:30 treating all of the waterers with Corid. Found coccidiosis in a hen I had pulled yesterday-she just wasn't acting right. Confirmed cocci about 11! Oh well, the things we do for these birds.
Hope you all have a wonderful day today.
Almost forgot, Maggie, I'm locking down my incubator this morning(7 Serama eggs, 3 Silkie/Frizzle eggs). Wish me luck! My 2 Lakenvelders aren't supposed to hatch until the 25th.

Its chilly and overcast here but I am headed out to the family place this afternoon and that always puts me in a good mood. Myself and daughter are packed up, now I have to pack the dog items, lol.
Sheila, best of luck with your seramas! Have you candled them at all? Just curious if you could see anything.
I set those 60 quail eggs this morning. I have to check again, I think the bobwhites are 21 days, dont remember what the mexican speckled or coturnix are.
HarlansHollow, they said the snow is supposed to stay south of us and I am not complaining. I saw where some places are getting 6 to 12 inches of snow. I know we arent out from under the gun yet, it being March, but I can always hope.
Well, going offline, if I can check back in later and over the weekend I will. Otherwise, it will be Sunday night.
Everyone have a great weekend.

Same here! We host the homeschool ballet at our house, in our garage, that is converted to a rec room. we haven't had practice for 3 weeks do to one of my kids having a rash, that I thought was chicken pox. No one else got it, I was hoping they would. Anyways the rest of the families thought we had the nubonic plague or something. So the garage/rec room was a muddy mess and now it is clean

Kids got the coops all cleaned this morning as they are predicting rain tomorrow.

Off to go and grade math tests.

Well I just got back home from visiting YakLady and her husband Tom. What a delightful lunch. We ate outdoors where we could just sit and watch the yaks. Tom grilled yak burgers and they were fantastic.
The yaks were pretty interesting to watch. They romped and cavorted acting more equine rather than bovine. To watch them run with their long flowing tails carried over their back made definitely seem more horse like.
She has some beautiful chickens as well. One in particularily I really like the looks of. It's an EE with gold hackle feathers and the rest of her body is gray with gold lace. Beautiful color combination.
Thank again Caycee for a great day. Granny was thrilled.

Evening all.
Whew, if I had 2 tails, I believe I'd have worked them both off today.
Maggie, hope you have a great weekend at your folks' place.
Opa got the eggs sent off today, hopefully you'll have them early next week.
Hope you all had a great day!

Hey, Sam... Is this the one you're talking about? Her name is Penelope. I named her after Penelope Cruz because I think she's exotic and beautiful.
