Well another year is here and I've started it just the way I like to; with a pulse. I could try to wax elequent like my dear Thistle but instead I'll just ask that you all have a year of nests full of eggs.

Almost exactly 10 months old, 3 mallards and one malmix. I got them straight run at TSC and somehow got 4 females!

Who'd have thunk it?

ETA, the top egg is a large white chicken egg for comparison.

Collected early this morning, so they must have laid late yesterday.

Where is everybody? I'm here talking to myself, not that that's unusual!

Sam, I'd call you but I ran the phone bill up over the holidays calling family.

I'm trying to start the year with a reasonably clean house. That means taking care of the stacks and stacks of papers that the cats so delight in scattering. It's gotten chilly again after a weeks of gorgeous days but once it dries out a bit I'll start working on the coop. Having several roosters crowing in the room next to the bedroom is highly motivating!
