PK, hope you are having a blast!

Just heard that Harlan is currently geocaching her way here from KY/TN, along with her daughter and 3 grandkids! Really looking forward to seeing them tomorrow!

Put my fingers against the side of my neck and sure enough I could feel a pulse. So it looks as if it is going to be another good day.

I've got to go to a customer's rental property today and start painting the walls that I repaired last week. Painting isn't one of my favorite things but getting a painter in for just a couple of walls would drive the cost of the repair up too much. Sure would be nice if I could be in South Carolina with Ranchie and Harlan. I'll bet they have more fun than I will.

Had another coon in a trap this morning so now it has become a much better coon. This dog proof leg hold traps sure seem to be the answer to lowering the predator population in my area.

Good morning! Just got back from vacation. As soon as my aunt sends me the pictures, I'll totally tell you all about it!

Opa - I spend quite a lot of time watching those amazing eagle parents and the babies. One night, before they blocked the view from the camera, I wanted to see what they do at night. All I could see was Mom's white head turning left to right and everything else was black.........there was one comment saying "hey I can't see anything, what's wrong?" LOL! The moderator's reply was "it's nighttime!"

Those babies are growing VERY FAST!

I was just looking at the eaglets in Decorah Iowa http://www.raptorresource.org/falcon_cams/decorah_eagle_xcel.html , two eggs have hatched and a third is due anytime, and it is amazing the difference 3 weeks can make. Another site is on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri http://webpages.charter.net/jray59/. The camera was installed by an individual who house is within 80' of the eagles nest. How cool would that be to have them so close?

I guess I have procrastinated long enough. I have a customer who is wanting some ideas for a project at his campground. To help him decide just what he wants I am going to take pictures of a large pavillion we built several years ago. Then it's back to yesterday's jobsite to continue painting.

Sitting here this morning watching the rain and wishing it was a little warmer. The rain is supposed to last the rest of the week but at least they are also predicting warmer temperatures. As soon as we have a couple of days of warmer temperatures I'll have to kick it into high gear and get the lawn thatched and raked. All the dead grass, leaves, and other winter detris sure makes everything look bad. Some days I wish I lived way out in the boonies so that the appearance of the lawn wouldn't matter. With literally hundreds of cars driving by here each day I don't want folks thinking I'm lazy.

Haven't heard anything from Ranchie as to how her visit with Harlan went. I hope they didn't decide to try doing a bunch of two step and broke something.
