Opa's place -Where an old rooster visits with friends

High winds and rain for most of the day. Not a single brown hair to be seen but since the turkey hunting season ended on November 14th I guess the turkeys knew it was safe for them to come out in force. Thirty plus hung around for most of the day.

The rain finally ended about six and has now turned into heavy snow. I had thought that this was going to be the first November in my memory that we didn't have snow. The forecasters are calling for only an inch, but it is the start of what I feel is going to be a long, long winter.

Hope is starting to loose patience with my declining years. She is 14 years younger than I and doesn't fully understand this aging thing and the problems that comes with it. I know I've mentioned that she gets upset with my hearing loss, but recently she became quite bothered about my having the door open while urinating. I don't understand why she had to get so irate, I wasn't driving that fast.

Cold and windy here too!

I feel for you, Opa! My dad is hard of hearing and Mom is already irate with him.

Whisper, and then yell that she can not hear either!

Several years ago when my hearing problem first became apparent I tried hearing aids. I wore them faithfully for 3 months trying to get used to wearing them. The intensity of background noise was horrible and I found that the people that I had difficulty hearing seemed to only mumble louder.

The weather forecasters definately underestimated the amount of snow we were to get. Less than a inch was their claim. Now I need to get dressed and go start digging us out. On the flats we have 4 to 6 inches but the drifts are over a foot deep. More is predicted, lucky us.

Never trust the forecasters! My joints can forecast more accurately then they can.

I am thinking about you Sam, it was 43 yesterday and the people here were breaking out the insulated coveralls......what a bunch of wimps!

I can honestly say, I do not miss it one little bit, I miss the scenery and my friends, but you can keep the weather!

Sorry to hear you have not got your deer yet, but it is probably going to be better hunting with the snow and the cooler weather.

As for Hope, CLOSE THE darn DOOR, you are dribbling on the floor mats! They make travel bottles for that ya know! Good thing you are hard of hearing, you probably didn't hear that

Thistle, we received more snow than anywhere else in the state so I have an abundance. In the spirit of international fellowship I would be more than happy to share with you.
