Your adopted daughter is a cheesecake purist. To her, lemon is best. I said something to her when I lost a bet about a turtle cheesecake with carmel, pecans, and chocolate ( sinfully rich ) and she told me if it wasn't lemon, it was't cheesecake. You need to talk to Thistle about expanding her tastes! And this from someone that eats offal.

The only kinds of cheesecake are ones covered with strawberries and turtle cheesecake. No others exist, so I don't know what this 'pumpkin cheesecake' is...

The Sprite and the Thistle are young and claiming to be young so one can not expect their taste buds to be fully developed. All good things come with time. At least until you can't remember anymore.

Opa, the cruelty of it is, when you get old enough to know what really tastes good, you must change your diet when your doctor tells you to lower your weight/cholesterol/blood pressure. It's terribly ironic.

Our family Thanksgiving was pretty funny. It was great to see everyone. But, it seemed like we kept saying, "I can't eat too much of that. It has too much fat. I can't eat that, it has too much sugar. Can we make that with less salt?" And, then nobody wanted to take the leftovers. I'm a vegetarian, and I was the only one willing to make turkey soup. I guess I'll be giving it away. Want some?

While it may be true about doctors telling us to avoid certain foods but with my hearing loss I don't hear them. So life is good. Want some cake?

Steffanie I would love some soup. Send it right over please. You can have some of my pumpkin spice squares with cream cheese frosting. Those were delicious.
It is such a beautiful day out, I think the kids and I will put up the outside decorations today. After that, I think we will go for a hike before it gets dark out.
