Opa's place -Where an old rooster visits with friends

David and I went hunting this morning although I knew before I went out that I was going to be an exercise in futility. It is just too warm for the deer to be moving and with my woods in the shape its in and with the amount of standing water in it I wasn't surprized to not see a thing.

Came home and help Hope get a few things ready for dinner today. The turkey is in the oven. Sweet potatoes are cooking, green bean casserole, corn & pepper casserole, and the dressing are made and ready to go into the over. Potatoes are peeled and sitting in a pan of water just waiting til closer to dinner time. Heck, we even have all the ingredients measured out for a triple batch of butter dips.

I'm sure that the rest of you were as touched as I was that my darlin' daughter would be willing to sacrifice herself in the spirit of the holiday and eat dessert. How could one possibly find a more loving daughter?

It might, but anything with chream cheese and heavy cream has to be good!
This will be the first time trying this recipe......Mike is such a great sport!

Today is left over day. Like having to eat the same thing as yesterday is some great punishment, particularily when that includes pie and cake.

Also today I'm back to loading more photos in Granny's picture frame. Here's a picture that even surprized me. My sons little, and me one of the few times I've been without a mustache.
