open vent

I just checked on of my hens to trim feather around her vent and I found it to be free of feathers and wide open. Does this mean she is close to her first egg? hope hope hope so. the other hen i trimmed a lot of feathers around it cause her vent was completely covered over with feathers. I hope I did right by her and it helps. I am ready for eggs.

not open like wide open just easily found with feathers away from it. the other hen you had to hunt for it due to heavy feathering around the ven. I trimmed some of the feathers away.
