Hello,
To8qday I gave my 2 rhode island reds a clean because they had poop bottoms. When I put one of my girls in I noticed that she had a really large open wound. It looks horrible and I hadn't noticed because her feathers hid it so well. She hasn't been acting strange at all. Eating and drinking fine. I sprayed some wound care on it but I would like to know if there is somthing else I can do.

I would soak her right away in Epsom salts or warm soapy water, and look for maggots on the wound (fly strike.) Flies can lay eggs on wounds or soiled areas, and it can be deadly. The maggots can hatch out for 24 hours, and if they enter the body, she could die. A wound spray can be used on the wound, and then I would apply plain antibiotic ointment after each soak. Soaks should be done 2-3 times in the next day or so.

Looks like it's been there a bit? Is it dry? If it's not actually opened you could soak her in warm water with epsom salt.
Also I would gently clean with peroxide. Pour it over let it bubble then the Epsom bath.
Coconut oil after may also help soothe, help with inflammation and antibacterial properties will help. I would say honey but it's summer and too many flies

No peroxide. I am using veterycin antimicrobial poultry spray. She doesn't have maggots either. I'm worried about soaking her again. Yesterday before the soak she was fine but right after she just stood there for the longest time. Lime she was in pain. It took her a while to go back to normal.

Great that she doesn’t have maggots. After the Vetericyn I would use plain Neosporin or Polysporin on the wound until it heals. Do you know if a rooster might have cut her with a spur, or how she got the wound? Let us know how she gets along.

Thanks I will do that. We don't have a rooster. I'm so sad for her because it hides so well under her feathers once they are dry. I wish I would have seen it sooner. If I find out how she got it I'll definitely share.
