Open wound on Hen's back Any recommendations for salves or remedies to help?

one of my hens has an wound on her back. I am not sure if the other chickens were picking on her or if she cut herself somewhere.
It is not bleeding, but it looks open and raw. Could I use a salve or ointment of some kind to put on it? Any recommendations?
She doesn't seem to be suffering, but it is ugly and don't want her to get any infection.

I use pine tar. It dries up and protects the wound. Keep her separated from the others until she heals up a bit.

I prefer Blukote- same healing properties as pine tar, but masks wounds better and is not such a sticky, disgusting mess to use. You also may want to consider a saddle temporarily.
