I have 6 chickens that will be 20 weeks this saturday. When they were 16 weeks they were all roosting together on the highest roost in the house. So I opened the nesting boxes just in case. Since I opened them they are being slept in and pooped in now.
What should I do?

It's easy enough to correct the behavior - you can either block the nests off a little before bedtime or just physically move them out of the boxes and place them on the roost. I would suggest the latter - shouldn't take but a few nights for them to form a new habit in place of the undesirable one they have now.

I actually waited 2 weeks after they all started roosting together just in case they wanted to do this......Guess Ill try this tmmrw night:-)
