Opened eggs, both chicks were dead

they were at day 22 and hadn't absorbed their yolks yet. I guess temp was prob too low in Brinsea that broke yesterday, and humidity was definitely too low in their new bator we put them in last night. I'm so sad.

Thanks. one of them was alive last night and if I'd just filled up all the pans on the bottom of the Hova bator, i think he would've made it. He was peeping last night before I went to bed. UGH.

don't beat yourself up over the temp and humidity. Sometimes chicks never get turned into the correct position to hatch and they end up suffocating before they can pip. It stinks to deal with these situations, but it does happen.
