Opinion Golden Laced Wyandotte

You need a photo of entire bird. A good profile shot, a good shot from above looking at back and a good shot of backside of bird.

We can see the legs, comb and lacing in what you provided but that's not all that the SOP covers. You need see the entire
Lacing needs work. She has good type. Comb looks good. Wattles are nicely shaped and even. Smuttiness in some of the wing feathers. How about the tail?

I know what lacing is but what needs improvement exactly, or what what should the lacing look like? I’m so sorry to ask could you be more detailed/specific? Thank you so much for your honest opinions! I just know nothing very little about the terminology! Smuttiness I’m guessing is like The “smudged” Or imperfect look of the lacing?...and what does “good type” mean?
Thank you !
bird to get an idea of what she is.

See how the gold in the feathers has a point that dips into the black lacing. The gold should be rounded following the line of the black.

Smuttyness is the black peppering on the gold in the wing and tail feathers.

Type is the over all shape and body confirmation.

Oh yes I see. So they should be rounded instead of pointed Idk if you can see her breast feathers well enough but sort of like that ? Thank you so much I really appreciate the knowledge!

The photo just posted is a good profile pic. It's photos like this and from behind the bird to see the tail spread then another photo taken looking down at the bird to see it's back. Those three angles are the only way to evaluate a birds body type with a photo.

Otherwise we've no idea what the body of the bird is. I can post a pic of a bird that looks fantastic in profile then take a pic of it's rear tail tent and you'd see immediately why it wasn't chosen as a breeder.

BTW- just looking at lacing of both birds posted the biggest thing of note is light color on shaft of feather. This is undesirable and should be avoided.
