Opinion on Cochin Feathering

So I know Vulture Hocks are a DQ for Cochins but the size of them on my little Coch boy is starting to make me think he's a mutt! What do you think?

He may not be a mutt, it may just be poor quality. Just wait to see how he matures. Wait for the fluff to start. Maybe those will come out in time. You never can tell. He is adorable though.

Once a vulture hock, always a vulture hock. They won't go away. The size of your example isn't at all unusual. I doubt he's a mix, just not a very good Cochin.

Thanks for the thoughts. Obviously in him it's a dominant trait; if he was to breed would it carry 50/50 with the clutch he ferts?
