Opinions needed on the Sportsman 1502 please

Quote:
Real wood is not necessarily an advantage in an incubator.

It's R-Value is quite low, and there are much better materials to make the cabinets from

A thin ply, styrofoam, formica sandwich is much better. It can be stained and trimmed with hardwood, making the whole this completely resistant to warping, easy to clean and highly insulated.

Neither Mr Dickey, nor Sportsman do this.

Both appear to make very good incubators, which look decent and presumably will last a long time.

Hooray!!!!

Went and picked it up today at Meyer (I just love Charlotte - and they are all such wonderful and helpful people!!) Mom and Dad came along for the ride and when Mom saw the price she almost fell over. I told her it was a worthwhile business investment! Dad kept going the wrong way on those country roads and we almost ended up in Columbus. Tried to find an Amish restaurant but there weren't any; it really is in the middle of nowhere so we had a fine lunch at Denny's.

But it's home and all set up. Got it running already to test it out. I absolutely love the fact that all you have to do is turn it on!!! It really is Cindy-proof

Thanks all!!! This morning I put button quail eggs in, as well as the fried eggs so we'll see what happens! Still gathering more chicken eggs. I can see this will definitely become an obsession.
