Yeah, this didn't fly with my dad

Brilliant. I put my RIR roo in my barn office. Told the little bugger to use the roost or portable chicken coop we put together for him and to stay off my pristine wood desk. Needless to say, I found him here.

Smack dab on my desk. I laid out towels and let him stay. He thanked me by not pooping on it or making a mess of it- which isn’t normally his style. He’s a destroyer!

Finally stayed above subzero last night. It was 0 degrees when I went out to the coop. The temp inside was 10F. Yesterday was sunny with a high of 15F. The coop got up to 40F during the day. The chickens are doing OK, got 4 eggs yesterday. Hope you mid-westerners are doing well. Hard times to get through.

Doing ok here, made it above zero as well. 18 even with windchill. Light snow here. My coop is in the 30s with good humidity levels. Still chipper egg laying girls! Yeah!
