Anybody have any experience with the cheap Amazon incubators with water bottle attachment (and actually used the water bottle)? I ditched the water bottle as it was a consistent 80 percent humidity which is too high for quail (and most everything else?). Has anyone successfully hatched anything using the water bottle? Just curious, otherwise it’s a nice little incubator.

I made my own incubator so I can replace the parts instead of replacing the incubator.I live in West Virginia where the humidity is consistently high so the dry hatch method s the method of choice for me if I decide to hatch any chicks.I added a rooster so my eggs are fertile and plan on letting my hens hatch all the chicks I need.

I also have Maticoopx and am happy with my first ever hatch rate of 75 ish percent (bad at math!) 2 eggs out of 15 not fertile because lazy boy rooster! And 2 developed but didn’t pip or hatch. I wrap the bottom and sides in a fleece jacket making sure not to cover vent holes because the room fluctuates temps.
I did a wet hatch but now trying it dry because I have Copper Marans eggs. Over ambitious much?🙂↔️

Interested yours ran at high humidity. I have a cheap incubator too that uses the bottle attachment to add water... mine sits around 40 to 50% which is fairly low I think... I do try and mist and increase humidity as and when I can. But worried how hatching will go as I never got it anywhere near 80% .... I'm on day 14 of incubating atm
