Don't worry about it, I am sure you'll like it. It is still better than a regular mixer just not what I thought it would be. Also remember to use the splash shield too because otherwise

all over the kitchen.

well I LOVE the idea of the slow start..... I have always hated the high speed of my hand mixers, even the lowest speeds would sling batter all over.... I'm very excited, I've wanted one of these for such a long time!!!

I have the professional and really like it. I've never had a different KA model. I had an Oster Stand Mixer and I also really liked it but it broke a LOT -- Kitchen Aid is the way to go. You'll love it when you get it
