Should we order from them or not? We read some bad reviews, but they are the only hatchery I can find that has blue langshan chicks, unless anybody else knows where to get standard blue langshans..?

Thank you for your reviews!

Hey, I know this thread is a bit older but wanted to throw some extra info in here.

Blue Langshans are hard to get ahold of. I know this because I wanted to do a breeding program. I even had an arrangement with Judy Gaines that if I chose to breed, she would give me a deal on her breeding flock as she was leaving the breeding business. I started with a rooster and two hens from a friend, who hatched them from Judy's stock.
My roo I still have and love, the females were monsters who consumed an extra 7 lb of feed every two days.
Blue doesn't breed true, so most places offer White and Black, not Blue. Privett Hatchery and Murray McMurray offer them, if you go via hatchery.

Now breeder wise, you have a few more options. Judy Gaines was one of the big breeding programs in the US, and now that she has left there are not many established who continually offer the blue. Spring Leaf Farm still does, as far as I know, and Azgard Poultry as well offers the Blue, Black, Splash, and White varieties. Check out the FB group 'Langshan Breeders USA' for more help and connections. There may be more breeders I am simply not aware of lol.
