So 5 weeks ago I bought 4 chicks, 2 RIR and 2 Buff Orpingtons. The following week 5 Ancona ducklings hatched. When I first introduced them, the chicks constantly harrassed the duckling. That wasn't to surprising and I didn't plan on brooding them together. Today I moved the ducklings out of the brooder and into the coop. No other birds are in the coop right now. I'll probably wait a couple days before I put the chicks in. The ducklings are about 12 inches tall and about 3 to 5 pounds. The buffs are bigger than the RIR but are both dwarfed by the ducklings. Any advise or opinions other than what my plans are?

I wish I could help..
I have never owned ducks before but I have heard that there can be issues having chickens and ducks together.

My Ducks don't like my Chickens. Maybe yours will get along and maybe not? You might need to separate them.
Plus my Ducks make a mess with water and Chickens need dry pens. Drakes also can kill or injure a Chicken if they try to breed one.
