Madison looked between shleya and Jason. If was cool to see the two of them so happy. She brushed away some tears from her eyes as she remembered her parents, how they had cried the time she had last seen them up upon the mountain nearly 3 years ago. She an Jason had been up on the mountain talking when her family had come up the mountain and how shocked they were when they say Madison on the other mountain. How Madison had cried and cried on Jason's shoulder when she saw her family.
 
The first thing Jason noticed was that a Falcon landed on her head. The second thing he noticed was a sword belt around her waist. As if she read his mind, she said pointing up. "That's Thunder..." and she tried to push the long sword dangling from her belt out of sight. "And i sort of like playing with a sword...." Jason knew she was lying about her 'playing' with swords but he didn't know why exactly she had a real sword. He instead turned his attention to Thunder, He saw the bit of relief in her face as he did. "What kind of bird is it?" Jason asked. "HE is a falcon...." Shleya said empisizing the he. Jason held his arm out and thunder landed on it and started cleaning his feathers. Shleya looked a bit shocked but Jason didn't know why.
 
"C-can I see mom and dad now?" Madison's voice slightly cracked as she whispered into jakes ear. Jake nodded ad put his arm around her shoulder, he was really happy his sister was home. "Let's go.... Hopefully they're still at the cafe...." He whispered back.

Not wanting to interrupt their reunion, Madison put her arm around jakes broad shoulder and started to walk with him. She was anxious to see her family.

Andrew glanced at Jake and Madison, wondering if he should say something but decided against it. It got really awkward suddenly. Andrew looked over at them both to see a bit of shock and hurt mixed with pride in Shleya's eyes then he saw why she had that expression. Thunder seemed to take an immediate liking to Jason. Jumping around on his head and taking off and landing back on Shleya. "That's surprising..." Shleya said to him. "Thunder doesn't normally trust people but he trusted Madison and he trusted you...." She finished quietly. Jason looked like he wanted to change the subject. Lucky jumped up on his leg. "And who is this?" He asked. it was obvious he had a soft spot for dogs because he leaned over and stroked her fur. "that's Lucky." Andrew said.
 
Madison and jake walked into the cafe, their family was in the far corner eating lunch. When they looked up and saw jake, they smiled weakly. But when the looked over at Madison, they're eyes grew as large as they're plates of food. Tears formed in her mothers eyes, their dad looked like he'd been hit with a freeze rag gun, and forest looked like she had just seen a real unicorn.

Forest was the first one to react. "MADDIE!!!!" She squealed, immediately recognizing Madison. She jumped up into Maddie's arms and hugged her tightly as if her life depended on it.
Madison spun forest around and hugged her tightly. She stroked forests hair. "Hey baby girl... How's my little angel today?" Se asked into forests hair. Forest didn't answer, instead se started to cry happy tears, her shoulders shaking. "I-I missed you...." She said into her shoulder.

Lucky definately liked the attention. She spun around in circles and wriggled around happily. Jason smiled. Shleya couldn't help but smile too. Andrew looked at them both. "I think you're missing the main point...." Andrew said. "How in the world are you going to tell this to your parents? What if they turn him in?" The truth of what Andrew was saying hit her like a rock. She looked up at Jason with tears in her eyes. "Y-you cant c-come meet everyone else...." She said almost bursting into tears like a five year old. Then Jason said something that made Shleya feel all warm and tingly inside. "Meeting you is enough if it means that i'll have to go back if i met my parents." Shleya hugged him again there were tears swimming in front of her eyes because she tried not to spill them. She looked at him and suddenly felt at home. She had never felt that way before because she always seemed different. Her other siblings looked almost nothing like her and sometimes her parents gave her strange looks as if they were remembering Jason. She felt a strong urge to tell someone else but she wouldn't.

Jason looked at Andrew and mouthed 'we need to talk.' Andrew nodded nervously.
 
Madison set forest down and turned to her parents. Her mother burst into tears and stood up, holding out her arms and hugged Madison so tightly that she felt as if her ribs would crack.
Her father stood and hugged her to, all five of them, including jake, did a family hug. Madison started to cry again, she was finally reunited with her family. If was a good feeling knowing that she was finally with her family. She was safe, happy, over joyed. And most of all, she was home. Those words echoed through her mind. Her family was home, not matter where she was.

"I...I should go make sure that mom and dad aren't freaking out...." She said pulling away and walking away with her head down. She looked sad to leave her brother. Andrew half wanted to come with her but he stayed put. "Alright dude... we need to talk about this..." Jason said seriously, sitting down on a rock. Andrew thought for a split second that he was in trouble. "I haven't got a clue what she's like and you've gotta tell me everything you know." he paused. "And, you need to tell me why exactly you two aren't dating." He said with a small smile.
 
It seemed like the whole cafe was staring at them. But Madison didn't care, all she cared about was her family and that she was finally with them again. The only other time she had ever met them was atop the mountain. But this was the first time she was actually able to hug them.

After a while, Madison pulled back and brushed the tears away with the back of her hand. "I-I've missed you guys so much!" She cried happily. Her mother cupped her face and kissed her on the forehead, then hugged her again. "How did you get here?" She asked finally, her voice cracking as she tried to calm herself.

Shleya waited patiently for her parents to stop nagging her about pretty much everything. She headed up to her room like she was told but took the fire ladder out form under her bed and dropped it out her window as soon as she popped out the screen. Climbing down, she headed back towards Jason and Andrew.

"Where do i start?" Andrew asked wondering why Jason saw Shleya and him as a couple. "Start with, 'why aren't you dating?'." Jason said his smiled growing a little wider. Andrew felt himself blush a little. "we're friends, that's all." He insisted. "Why are you 'just friends'?" Jason asked him his eyes glinting a little. "Aren't older brothers suppose to be overly protective of their younger sister?" Andrew asked hoping to get over answering that particular question. Jason laughed a little. "I guess but y'know what? I would approve if you two were dating. you seem like a nice guy." Andrew could feel his face stinging. "But we don't want to be more than just friends..." Andrew insisted. "so you do like her?" Jason asked with a mischivious look in his eye. "we're just friends!" Andrew said turning redder. He did like her, she was his secret crush since they became friends, but he wasn't about to tell anyone that.
