Opposite gravity ~ a movie based RP

"Thank you..." Madison said and grabbed the apples and placed them on the table along with the salad. She sat down at the table and waited for her dad to come back in with the burgers. The awkward silence returned and made Madison's face turn slightly red. It was a bit awkward, but her mom tried to ease up the tension. "So, Jason.... Your from the other world to?" She asked.

Jason was glad for the conversation starter. "No, I'm from here, but i have the same condition as Madison so i went to the below world." He said simply.

"Wow, so you two are the only known people to have that condition..." Madison's mom said. "That's neat... Thankfully Madison was taken to the other world before the government found out about her... By the time they knew, they didn't know where she had gone...." Madison's face turned red, "mom..." She said awkwardly.

"Wow, really? As soon as my parents found out, they rushed me to the mountain and waited there for someone to come so i could go to the other world safely. He's actually the one who invented the weights." Jason said beginning to feel a little more comfortable. "Like Madison, the government didn't find out until i was already on the other world."

"That's funny, because it was actually the man that invented the weights also took Madison and found a safe place for her to live..." Madison's mom said.
Madison was getting a bit uncomfortable talking about herself. It was bad enough that there was a sort of tension in the air.

Jason saw out of the corner of his eye how uncomfortable Madison looked. He tried changing the subject so she could feel a little more involved. "That's really interesting." He said. then with a wave of his hand, he continued. "Enough about me. I don't know anything about you either." Hoping he didn't sound too pushy.

Madison shot him a thank you! glance and sat bak in her chair slightly. "Get ready for a long story...." She mumbled under her breath teasingly. Madison's mom rolled her eyes but smiled and turned her attention back to Jason's question. "My name is Makenna. I was born in Texas.... I met Madison's father in high school and we were good friend for many years....." She started.

Jason smiled and nodded the entire time, occasionally relating to her stories. He had always been a good listener, he wasn't very good at talking much himself though. He wasn't shy but he definately wasn't a chatter box.

Madison's father walked in before Makenna could continue. Madison mouthed thank you daddy! . Glade for a change in subject. Madison's father sat down and set the burgers on the table.

After saying praise for the food, everyone passé around the food. Madison got a small portion of everything. She was use to having a small diet of food that she had to be on due to her shortage of money.

Jason politely shook his head when Madison's dad offered him a hamburger. He never really ate meat, and every time he could afford it, it made him feel sick to his stomach. Instead he grabbed a few apple slices and a bit of salad. "Thank you..." He said hoping that they weren't offended.
