Options for egg bound bantam pullet

How are they doing? Poops better?
Thank you for asking. My little bantam girls seem to be improving. I say that with so much caution, as I'm sure you understand. I haven't found anymore poops with blood and/or mucous. I did find some blood in poops from one of my chick flocks that includes a little silkie, "Fancy Nancy" that I hatched here about 1.5 months ago and my daughter's beloved turken "Vulture" that is a week older than the silkie. They have been on Corid and I am dissolving a sulfa tablet in some water for them right now. Are some strains of coccidia resistant to Corid? I only have 1 and a half tablets of Bird Sulfa left and the half tablet is being dissolved in 4 ozs of Corid treated water. I called about the orders I placed and both are being shipped out today. One was shipped this morning and should be here tomorrow. The other one should be here tomorrow or Thursday. I hope that the half tablet will be enough for the chicks. The chicks did spend time outdoors free ranging for the first time on Sunday, so that probably explains how they have blood in their poops, in spite of being treated with Corid. I'll start drenching them as well. I'm going to keep the little Serama chick inside for a while so it can get some size on it before letting it go out to play. Once the Sulfa comes in, should I treat everyone of my flocks, or just the flocks that show blood in stools in spite of Corid?

Corid treats all strains. Treat the entire flock as the disease is passed around by feces on the ground. If one chicken has coccidiosis, assume they all have it. It won't hurt if they get the sulfa too.

OK. Thank you. Everyone in all of the separate flocks have been getting Corid for the past 3 days, with today being day 4. For now, I'll add sulfa to the flocks with bloody poops. I am down to 1 tablet until the orders arrive hopefully tomorrow. Thank you so much for helping with so much

Poop looks o.k. What are you feeding that is red? Watermelon, tomato....
I think my daughter gave them some watermelon but that was on Sunday. That was also their first time outdoors in a "new to them" area. All of the birds travel through this area. I did have to start offering regular sized grit for the turken because the tiny chick grit just went right through him (not diarrhea. I just noticed grit in his poop often and thought that grit was supposed to stay in the gizzard to grind up food, until it was ground down enough to make it's way through the digestive system/pooped out). I didn't remove the chick grit, I just added regular grit, so they would have more options. I'll ask my daughter if they've had anything else. Oh yeah, I did give them some red grapes, but that doesn't look like grapes.

Not sure if it makes any difference or not but the turken is so incredibly nervous. I don't know of a bird that is as nervous as this one. It's terrified of EVERYTHING. I'm sharing this because I wasn't sure if this could possibly cause anything to happen in the digestive system (I guess I'm thinking about a dog I had that would get so upset because she had to stay at the vet, that she always ended up with stress induced colitis and poop blood, after the stress of a vet stay). I'm just trying to think of anything (aka grasping at straws??? My apologies)
