Oral meds on tongue

We took our rooster to the vet and they gave us 2 syringes of meds a day to give to him. I’m just wondering if it’s ok to drop the meds on his tongue bit by bit and he swallows it so it doesn’t overflow. This is what we did this morning but I’ve seen a couple posts where people made sure to put in back of mouth does this matter?

Just want to make sure they are getting administered effectively so they work. Someone comfort my ocd

You can do it either way. If you do small amounts and let him swallow between, it's fine. Some do it in the back to do more at one time, to reduce the risk of aspirating any meds. I do it both/either way, depending on the bird and the situation.
