Hello ,
One of my chicken having oral plaque on the corner of her roof idk how he get but he ate grapes the next day we found yellowish cheese looking plaque we believe that grapes cause him yeast because high glucose able to form up yeast fast.

I give him fluconazole 17mg for 8 days it become small but still there we stopped the treatment at 8th day as he facing some of the side effects of the drug ( dizziness & fatigue)

His oral plaque is small but still there I'm applying oregano , garlic , ginger giving
Supplemental Probiotics & Multi-vitamins
it reduced it for hours but it again come back .

I just order some Clotrimzole Ointment 1% any thoughts ? Will be helpful

He eat corn on cob (nowadays)
His feed grains
That's it

Sorry about your boy @Saaniya :hugs

Yellowish plaque like stuff stuck in the mouth sounds like Wet Pox. I have never dealt with wet pox, maybe this member can help you... @dawg53

No it doesn't seems like pox and he's pretty well active no symptoms of wet pox

The thing is seems like Yellow / white substance like we get mouth ulcers . If I clean it with anything like garlic water it comes out on swab

I wish I could click a pic but he don't let me open his beak too much .. I saw pics of wet pox 🤷 I don't know anything about pox but there's nothing like pox in his outer body . He seems good idk what is it he eats all clean food hygienic clean water and multi-vitamins .

I still wanted to know if it's pox how long it takes to clear up

Oral thrush shows up more as tiny white dots in the back if the throat. And when it's in the mouth, its usually in the crop and esophagus as well. Yes, you need a photo so we can see!

Pox can slough off but will come back. You can use tweezers to remove it but he will need some sort of drug to kill it off.

I think this member is on line.... @Wyorp Rock

I don't know if you can get this where you are but I believe Acidifid Copper Sulfate will help with Wet Pox? (It also works well with thrushes)

@Saaniya is there any way to get some photos?

The Fluconazole that you were giving is good to use for oral thrush/yeast.

You mention if you clean with a swab, the yellow will come off - could it be stuck food (food buildup)?

Any bad/foul smell from the beak?

Yeah fluconazole almost shrink it due to the intolerance I need to stop it he feel so fatigue but it work well

Only wanted to share if anyone use fluconazole 17 mg pls take precautions and dosage quantities . Teetee face a bad reaction of the dose he completely go listless , unresponsive on 8th day of fluconazole 17mg dose it's hard and it's very risky no sites mentioned side effects .
With fluconazole he faced
Dehydration , Vomiting.& Serious fatigue with a lower pulse rate .

I hope anyone if use in future might read once the side effects chickens also feel it :)
