I would not spray on anything they'll be eating, no. You can spray inside in all cracks and crevices and the roosts, but I would avoid their feed and water. It's better to clean it of all the bedding and then spray inside, then put the bedding, food and water back inside.

Ok, thank you for the advice. To be safe, I will spray only on the outside unless I see fire ants infestation inside the coop, then I will spray under the pine shaving.
