Oranges--good or bad?

My Brahma pullets have been getting into a pile of orange tree trimmings in my yard complete with oranges still attached to the branches. The silly birds seem to have developed a taste for them and now they seek them out so they can peck away at them until their heads are covered with orange pulp. Anyway, is it ok for them to eat them? Or is all that vitamin C going to cause problems?

oranges are a safe food, but too much acid is said to reduce egg production.

Interesting....they don't typically like citrus!

mine like the rinds of citrus, but the fruit, they do not tend to enjoy.

That's funny, when I feed mine grapes they cover eachother and ME with grape juice

my chickens love any fruit or veggie. they adore grapes the most. they will eat them right off the vine this drives my dad crazzy but its fun to watch

I know, you cannot grow anthing around chickens
