Orderd a New Incubator

Oh, I hope it you get it Monday, then. They ship from Florida, don't they? Probably why ours got here so quickly. I really like it so far & it's bigger than I expected. I can fit 4 peafowl eggs in it, plus a hygrometer.

I have 14 chucker eggs in one incubator now on lock down that are sapose to hatch sunday/monday after that my next batch to hatch is sapose to be whatever is left from my 50 quail eggs on the 18th I have 37 eggs from 3 diffrent people on byc comeing next week so I think Im gonna hatch the quail eggs in the new incubator if they will fit . I think iM down to like 30ish but they are about a third of the size of a chicken egg so I think it might work . That way the other LG will be open for the 37 new eggs becuase the other incubator will still have like 30+ of the eggs I already have besides the quail eggs. Man Im never getting this many diffrent eggs at diffrent times again its too chaotic

I've got way too many staggered hatches going on right now. Mainly peafowl, though. We only have three peahens & they're taking long breaks between clutches. There's a waiting list for the peachicks - don't think I'm ever going to do that again. So, I'm a little anxious to get them all hatched out. It's awful when you don't have enough incubators for all the eggs lol. I ended up having to stick 5 under a broody duck last week lol. Thank God, she's taking care of them like a pro. I bet those quail will be adorable when they hatch out. Are they easy to do?

I did a hatch a few years ago when I was a complete new noob and if I remmber the ones that hatch popped out pretty fast same with the buttons the eggs are a bit harder to see into though . I got a tip that if it looks blue its clear that helps cuas you cant always see between all the spots and some of the button eggs are really dark and tiny. Im just doing the normal jumbo brown quail for this hatch then I have bobwhites that are due with some chuckers and some chickens in like two or so weeks lol I havent hatched any bob whites befor so that will be new . so will the chuckers . I got the brooder ready , its a giant rubber maid container with 80% or so of the lid cut out and replaced by wire mesh so the will be safe in there from my cat that really just wants to play with one so bad lol
