Ordered 6 chicks-I only want 3-4 chickens-was that the right idea?

I wanted 3-4 and ordered 15 figuring I would lose some in shipping and being 1st time chicken mama lose more due to my error...I was also going to sell off any extra.

Well I got 17 in the mail. No casualties and now don't think I can sell them because I am too attached...
