Ordered an automatic chicken door!

Very cool! We even have gadgets in the hen house!! I bet the pioneers would have loved to have these things!!

Love, love, love my automatic chicken door! I have mine on a timer that I adjust as the seasons change. One of the best things about it for me is when I go away traveling, it makes it much easier on whoever is taking care of them for me! They can just come once a day and pick up eggs, and do a bit of mucking out and food and water weekly. It's a godsend!

No, but I plan to close the run when I get home at night after work. My run is as secure as the hen house. I free range them during the day in the horse pasture.

With the D20 does it matter if the door is on the inside of coop or outside? Mine is on the outside but I could easily put it on the inside if I had to.

I moved mine to the inside just for protection against the weather, had it on a mechanical timer from homedepot piece of junk went to lowes and got a digital timer with a battery back up and it works great to the minute accuracy.

Must be the same timer I bought from Home Depot for my lights now I can't turn the lights on manually. Sounds like a good idea putting the D20 on the inside that will be my next project. Thanx for replying to my question.

Bought a new timer so next weekend my DH can put it in when he puts in the wiring, then I can order the door opener.
