ordered chicks today from cackle hatchery

I didn't order from them because I heard their customer service was so bad. Glad to here they sell good birds though.

Cackle Hatchery has amazing birds.....as for their customer service...I think there is something going on in the family or short staffed because they are good people and not sure why their cusomter service has been soo poor lately.

I would ALWAYS notify the post office when you are expecting chicks precisely because of snafus like this. Nothing worse than a box of peeps starving because the mail man can't read the label.

My cackle order will not be here till the end of April...I ordered Turkeys, chicks, Ducks and Geese. Hope they put them in one of them big boxes to seperat the big geese from the chicks and turkeys. does anyone know. I would hate to have a bunch of sqashed chicks.

Cackle has never notified me when the shipping takes place. The shipping date is on my order slip. So I just mark it on my calender. Its almost always two days after the date. I bet they separate the geese from the chicks. Good luck with that. I bet your ready for them.
I always let the post office know that I'm getting chicks. It seems to help.
