LOL....yes I could...wait, I think $50 per chick for this rare breed would be a bargian!!! Ugh!!! I went out and looked on the box...says Privett Hatchery, NM. also on the box was a list of the order. Gonna look up pics of all the breeds on there. But I can see that someone else got my cochins LOL

Welsummer or Speckled Sussex

If it would help I think I have pics of my Welsummers and sussex at that age I could post

Whoa! Somebody screwed up. I bet somebody got your Partridge Cochins and you got their Speckled Sussex. They look a lot alike looking down on them.

Ok, here are pics of the two in qustion side by side...

The one on top is the one you all say maybe a Wesummer, and the one on bottom is the one's I THOUGHT were speckled sussex...LOL I might have it backwards??? But its not my fault...The feedstore started it

Yep, bottom looks like a welsummer and the top is a speckled sussex.

Ive looked at pics of Welsummer babys, and the chick on the bottom has always been that dark chocolate color. They have never had the chipmunk markings like Im seeing in the welsummer chick pics. But I do agree with you on the top chick. After lookin at some chick pics of the Speckled sussex, they look identical. So now the other that I thought were speckled sussex, arent speckled sussex, but I dont think its a welsummer either... it has always been the dark color(bottom chick in pic) that it is....more ideas??? And thank you all very much...Im on the brink of sorting out the feedstores mistake... Now I just wonder if I should complain, or let it be a lesson learned...lol

The one with the white on it is the Speckled Sussex. What color of legs does the other one have?

Could the darker chick be a Partridge rock? The Partridge rock chicks are a dark brown. They also have yellow legs.
