I ordered some feather legged bantams from ideal as they aren't doing the d'uccle special anymore for 1.05 ..I placed in comments I'd like silkies and d'uccles hopefully I get a bunch. But if I get Cochins and brahmas I'll just sell them lol. Don't really need 25 more birds anyways. Figure two thirds will be roosters so I'm hoping for at least ten decent hens out of the bunch and the rest can go on craigslist. I've gone crazy on chicken math this year considering I've ordered two cackle surprise assortments and bought a dozen birds locally...plus mix original seven. My husband wants to know when the madness ends lol.

It never ends I've come to realize. I just got 6 more babies a couple of weeks ago and I am already thinking about where I may be able to place a second coop and thinking of all the breeds I would love to get next year if my DH actually lets it happen.

I've ordered nearly 700 birds this year How's that for chicken math?

I got one of those feather legged specials a month or so ago. Got lots of cochins, a silkie, a few d'uccles, some brahmas. Now they've started offering the cochins, silkies, and d'uccles as separate specials, though they seem to sell out shortly after posted.

I've gotten 3 Cackle Surprises, and this week I have 50 silkies coming from Ideal in what is my 11th or 12th order from them!

Did you have any luck with the eggs? I ordered 40+ guinea eggs, and I ended up getting 3 to hatch. Half were either infertile or got shaken too much in transit. That was my first and last time buying eggs through the mail! But other people say they get them in the mail all the time with no problems.
