Ordered my 2022 flock

I’m trying really hard not to plan anything, because I likely won’t have any coop space
But my grandma might be getting chicks next spring, so maybe I can convince her to get some that I want

I just placed my chick order for early May! I ordered from McMurray and I'm so excited! I ordered all females:
4 Sicilian Buttercups
3 Delawares
3 Welsummers
5 Americanas (EEs)
Plus a surprise chick

Has anyone else ordered their chicks yet? What did you order?

Sicilian Buttercup are soooo pretty! That’s a great choice!

Nice choices! Have you had California whites before? What are they like?

Wondering the same! The only thing I won’t have in the backyard is a white egg layer, so my eye is on those for the following year addition!

My Elderly Bantam Hen died in my arms on Thanksgiving day. She was like 7, or 8 years old.

We'll be butchering 14 chickens, so I'll have space for the chicks I'll be ordering next spring. I'll also be hatching chicks too.

I have not nor am I planning to order any chicks, but I plan to hatch some in 2022.

I love my Welsummers and EEs! Their eggs are gorgeous.
