Ordered my first batch of Lavender Ameraucanas.

They were blue but not quite that blue.

A lot of people who sell them enhance the photo to make them more blue. I have Lavender AM (my pic) and just hatched more. Eggs can be very blue against certain backgrounds too. Either way they are amazingly beautiful eggs!! attached pic is not enhanced

How did the hatch go? I ordered Lavender Ameraucana too and they are in the incubator now. Its my first hatch so any tips appreciated!

I have been away a while. The hatch went well, and we had 5 of 7 chicks come out alive! Of the five 2 could not stand, sit upright their necks were almost twisted and the flopped around like fish out of water. It was awful, I gave them 5 days used vitamins and a syringe to try and feed them... made chick mash.. it didn't work, we ended up culling those two. I now have 3 healthy four week chicks!
