Ordered my first meaties of the year.

isn't it a bit too early to have meaties arriving in the mail. or are they tougher re. cold even as chicks than non meat birds.

there have been several cases of chicks DOA this year due to cold and shippping tjhem in the cold.

around here meaties aren't coming to farm stores till april--june...............

I have my first batch of 120 coming March 17th. I tried starting last year the first week of March, but it was too cold and a major pain-n-the-rear. Also, at 3 weeks old, it was too cold to move them to the pasture.
