Yes I got them early this a.m., they are resting. I think I will set them tonight or tomorrow a.m. I got 14 silkies & I have 3 of my own Bantie eggs, unless I find more this afternoon.

I just tried lowering the humidity from 39, we'll have to see where it ends up this time...UGH!

I am going to try lower humidity...Mine right now is 30%. My temp has a huge swing...home made styro-bator. BUT! After staring at it for what seemed like 24 hours straight...it stays at 101 MOST of the time. then dips below 100 for about 4 minutes then right back up. So the slight "too cold" temp I don't think is anything to worry about because it isn't long enough for the inner egg to cool off. IMO.

My humidity is about 37 now....I would like to get it to 35 but I will put the eggs in the bator in about an hour yet & once I do, I am sure the humidity will do something. So I will wait to see what happens.

I went looking for more of my bantie eggs today but couldn't find a one, so I only have 3 in there besides the 12 silkies I ordered & she sent me 2 more, they all looked fine & were individually bubble wrapped.

Maybe if the girls get inspired in the a.m., I could quickly throw in 2 more???? Go girls! LOL I think they are lazy lately. Or hidding them....

I had 56 hatching eggs arrive this morning!

They have happily set in egg cartons large end up all day. I just candled to see if any were scrambled before placing them in the 'bator tonight. I lost 2 Silver Phoenix, nothing but bubbles in them!

There is one Silkie egg, of course from EmmyLou, that looked iffy, I thought I saw bubbles, but I am chancing it anyway and sticking that egg in the 'bator. If there's nothing in it by day 14, I will take it out.

So I am fixing to put 5 Silver Phoenix, 7 Blue Bantam Cochin, 15 Silkies, 14 Mille's, 3 Light Brahma, 6 standard Salmon Faverolle's, and 2 Bantam Favorelles into the 'bator tonight.

Already in the 'bator, 6 Marans, 5 Frizzles, and 8 Mutts. They are all on day 4 and showing promise, except one frizzle that looks maybe like a blood ring, but I am going to wait a few more days before taking it out. Monday is day 7 for it, so if it looks like it for sure, it will be tossed too.
