Ordering Chicks

I'm about to be a future chicken owner. I would like to get 3 chicks but it seems no where can I just buy 3 chicks. So I was wondering is there anyone out there who would like to split an order with me that lives near Duluth Minnesota. I don't really care which hatchery just would like to get them as soon as possible. Please let me know if your willing to split an order. Thanks alot.

Check your feed store, I know the ones near me will let you piggyback on someone elses order.

My Pet Chicken (www.mypetchicken.com) will allow you to order as few as 3 chicks but they have to charge a lot for shipping (they add a special heat pack to keep the chicks warm). I think the shipping is in the neighborhood of $34.95 to most places.

Your idea of trying to find someone to split an order is a good idea. You might also try advertising on CraigsList, but get the money before you order. More than one person has agreed to order and then backed out when it came time to pony up.
