Hello again!
As the day approaches that my little call ducklings will arrive, I am starting to get everything ready and in place for them. As I mentioned before, I have never shipped birds online before, only purchased from local hatcheries. I am wondering what is the best thing to do as soon as I pick them up? Should I administer electrolytes in their water no matter what? What is the best way to keep them healthy after shipment? Should I bath them as soon as they arrive? All suggestions are welcome and appreciated, thank you !!

Nope no bathing they will be stressed from traveling. So just get them in the warm brooder offer warm water to drink and some crumble to eat. And let them settle in. And enjoy them little things.
You're the best, thank you!! Should I put save-a-chick electrolytes in their water to give them a little boost after shipment? Thank you!

Yes that would be a good idea . Do you know ship date yet?
Not yet! I have been trying to get in contact with purely poultry for days now because it is way past the time that I should have been given a hatch date-which is quite frustrating. I always get nervous with new ducklings so I have pretty much everything ready for them already. Their brooder is all set up (without water or food of course) and I have save a chick vitamins/electrolytes and also purchases vitamin b complex just in case. Is there any other products you think I should get just to play it safe? I like to be prepared if you can't tell LOL.

I️ will be following this thread closely. My Khaki Campbells should come in on Thursday (possibly earlier). I️ will be a first time duck owner so I️ definitely need some advice.

I ordered Salmon Faverolle chicks from Purely Poultry in 2017 that’s when I realized they work with breeders all over the country my chicks came from Missouri and were shipped on Monday arrived early Wed. morning were in great condition. Hopefully it will be the same for you!

Good to know! Were they good about communicating hatch/ship dates and customer service? Thanks!
