So I am going to buy some chicks, maybe not right now but I am going to!! I have decided to get 15 chicks from Cackle Hatchery. I was thinking of just getting 6 from my Pet Chicken but then I have the space for 15, so why not?? lol

!! Its not that much of a difference! But on the Cackle website its saying I can order online or offline and the online option calculates the shipping fees for you but offline you do it yourself. I'm not sure which to do. Or I guess you could order the catalog, I'm very confused. Here's the page I was looking at on their website: http://cacklehatchery.com/page15.html

I think I want to order online, it seems easyier. You just give them a credit card number right? But which one do you think I should do? How do you order your chicks from a hatchery? Oh and another question I had was that I noticed on My Pet Chicken it gives you the option to have your babies given the Merricks Vaccine. But on Cackle hatchery they don't say anything about Merricks Vaccines. Do they vaccinate the chicks for that or not? Thanks Have a great sunny day!!

By the way, thanks for putting up with my newbie questions!

I ordered my chicks from Cackle. I just gave them a call and ordered on the phone. That way the tell you your shipping date right away and if you have any questions you don't have to go through days of e-mailing. If you order online it can take a couple of days till you get a confirmation and shipping date. If you want to have your chicks vaccinated for marek's they will do that but it will cost extra.
I am very happy with Cackle, the people on the phone there are super nice and all my chicks are doing great

okay thanks! Will they still give you a email right before the chicks are shipped? And should they be vacinated for Merricks or is it not nesscacary? b-u-m-p
