This may be silly, but I was wondering if the ordinance of keeping chickens at a 50' distance is more for the physical coop or does that mean the actual chicken?
I don't want the chickens in my newly reseeded front lawn or in my huge veggie garden so I will be fencing a section next to my neighbors yard for them to free range. They keep chickens too so they are fine with them. (We've spoken) The coop will be at least 50' from their house and mine but the actual chickens will be free and can get close to their house (fence will keep them out of their yard).
The code people are always driving around in my neighborhood and I was wondering if I would have a hassle with this. Thanks!
