All y'all deserve the recognition! You make this forum fun to hang out in.

Clover, when are you heading over to Bend to drop off the faverolles? My kids and DH will be there next week on a week long field study (Astronomy, vulcanism, fossils) in central OR. I was thinking about driving over and visiting them for a day (and bringing provisions). I'm free and easy (except for the chickens, chicks, hatching eggs, dogs and teenager...hmmm)

OMG! I just had a big scare! I looked in the brooder with the 5 new MFC babies. And there's a chick laying there on it's back legs stretched out! Eyes closed! I thought it was dead! I reached in sadly to remove it and up it pops! It's ALIVE!

What kind of crazy chick sleeps on its back! OMG!

Not sure if I should add it to my list of bringing but DH said I HAD to offer it. I make this crazy banana bread that's pretty ridiculous and I've totally perfected the recipe so I was thinking about baking and bringing loaves kind of like zoo does with the cheesecake. Might do cupcakes again with simple decorations and have them @ $2ea this time. But the banana bread is kind of ridiculous. It's the consistancy of a coffee cake? has bite but melts in your mouth, I chop semisweet high quality chocolate and it's the most BANANA banana bread I've ever had, I also make a crumble on top which has local organic hazelnuts in it, I can leave those out but man there's something about them with the chocolate and bananas..... kind of reminds me of crepes with nutella and bananas... Anyway let me know if you'd be interested. I still need to cost it out
